About Terry

Why on Earth is Terry Focusing on Nurses?

The Big Questions:
Whose needs, interests and expectations do you consider when you make plans for the future? How can you be sure you’re fulfilling your mission? And after all you've done, are you sure your vision will become a reality?  How do you take into consideration who you are: your assets, your liabilities, your hopes and your own needs?

Answers to these questions are essential for organizational, team and individual success.  You will begin to see what’s possible in a new way. You will begin the strategic thinking process by imagining what is possible, thinking strategically and planning the most effective action at the right time.
We believe in an indelible commitment to the dignity of people, processes and systems. As consultants our work encourages integrity, innovation, creativity, risk taking and entrepreneeurship. We help you to focus on streamlineing processes to encourage responsiveness and effectiveness and help you and your group take a stand against mediocrity. We are passionate about searching out new and better ways of doing things and fostering an environment where organizations learn from mistakes, improve and move on.

Getting to the Heart of It:
I help you see what's possible for structure and context and FACILITATE your group's process. These processes may include formal strategic plans, problem-solving, decision-making, conflict management, communication and boundary management or just plain uninhibited conversation.

Spending significant time creating a monumental plan may seem foolish. The pace of change challenges the utility of the information so you may ask: "Why bother?" Let me tell you, the conversations your team will have will truly connect them at a core level to the very heart of your organization.
Typical results include identifying the structure, values and the literal "heart" of the company, developing a work plan which maps back to mission and vision, resources and revenue projections, and increased team commitment and passion for what they do.

Strategic Planning:
where
Making decisions within the framework of your purpose, vision, values and mission by thinking strategically with the right set of outcomes in mind ensures you are on track all the time. This is the formula for thinking strategically and it is the method for group facilitation, executive development, team coaching and life coaching – period.

When Executive teams, boards of directors, and work teams do this work together they experience a more productive use of their time and a sense of "all-for-one-and one-for-all." Plain and simple. They create:
  • Increased trust and commitment
  • Common skills and language
  • Ability to hold group members accountable
  • Strategic Plan, Business Plan, Work Plan
  • Behavioral Agreements
Facilitation begins before the meeting when Terry and the meeting leader organize and prioritize the work to accomplish. Adept, positive, and professional, Terry manages complex agendas with large or small groups in relatively short times.

Group Processes:
Terry uses a developmental facilitation process so people learn to independently facilitate their own decisions and planning efforts. She works with the people in your organization to develop skills in problem-solving, decision-making and conflict management so you and your organization learn, develop and grow. As an adept facilitator, Terry will sometimes take a more directive tact, especially when your need for intervention is urgent and the resolution is at the heart of the matter.A problem is simply a gap between what is desired and what exists. You and I work together to design an approach for your group to:
  • Clearly identify the problem and evaluate potential causes and solutions
  • Collect the relevant data
  • Implement and evaluate a selected solution
  • Close the gap between the way it is now and the way you want it to be.

Talk to the people in charge of bringing a facilitator on-site. Then invite them to view Terry’s credentials here.
